Shark Vacuum Front Brush Not Spinning
Diagnose and fix a non-spinning front brush roller on Shark vacuum models AX950, AX951, ZU780, ZU782, ZU785, AZ1000 series, and AZ2000 series

Flat Screwdriver -
T10 Torx security bit -
T20 Torx security bit
Disassemble the Vacuum Head
We’ll remove the vacuum head cover to access the brush roller mechanism and diagnose the problem.
- Remove the top cover by releasing four small clips.
- Using a T10 Torx security bit, remove the two screws on the top of the head.
- Flip the head over to access the bottom.

- Using a T20 Torx security bit, remove the nine screws on the bottom of the head (if a screw is stuck, use a small flat screwdriver to help).
- Pop off any covers and check for additional hidden screws underneath.
- Remove any additional screws found (locations vary by model).
- Slide off the bottom cover and set it aside.
