Sewing Events Classes and Meetups

‘Learn to Sew’ classes have been developed by our trained staff to teach you the basics of sewing while doing creative and fun projects. You will learn many of the basic but crucial techniques like; seams, piecing fabrics, seam allowances, zipper installation and following patterns. We explore different materials that can be sewn, presser feet, and the importance of quality sewing threads! These sewing classes are done on your own sewing machine! Imagine how comfortable you will begin to feel with the machine, after using your sewing machine to learn in these sewing classes!

Meet ups are held by local sewing clubs and groups. Many are open to guests. These are a great time to connect with local communities of sewists who share your passions.

Open Sew are times the sewing area is open to you to drop in and work on your projects. This is also a perfect time to come in and get tips and tricks on your sewing projects from our staff. Equipment such as cutting tables and ironing boards are available for your use!

Events are sponsored or facilitated by Vacuums R Us & Sewing Too and our partners such as Kimberbell and Janome. This is a fun opportunity to learn specific techniques.
