Identify the Problem

Dyson stick vacuums commonly develop cracks in the cyclone assembly when they fall over, causing massive suction leaks. Does your cyclone assembly have visible cracks where it connects to the canister?

Apply Epoxy Repair

We'll use two-part epoxy to seal the cracks. This repair will be functional but not pretty. Some epoxy may get into the cyclones and block them permanently.

Work in a well-ventilated area
Mix equal parts of two-part epoxy (like JB Weld) on a disposable surface
Stir thoroughly until the mixture turns gray

Ensure no epoxy drips into the canister connection area or blocks the canister from reattaching
Let cure for 24 hours before using the vacuum

Repair Complete

The epoxy repair will restore suction once fully cured. After 24 hours, test the vacuum to confirm the leak is sealed.
