use: Straight stitch piecing with accurate 1/4″ (6 mm) or 1/8″ (3 mm) seam allowances. The outer edge gives 1/4″ and the inner edge of the toes gives 1/8″. Three notches 1/4″ apart mark the needle line and the points 1/4″ ahead of and behind the needle, for squaring pieces and turning corners. It has a narrow groove under the flat sole for thread clearance. Straight stitch only; Bernina recommends straight stitch at width 0 and length about 2.
