Use: Freehand decorative stitching and embroidery with the sewing machine, such as Richelieu (cutwork) and circular embroidery, and following marked lines and patterns. The wide front opening gives a clear view of the needle, and a wedge shaped channel under the sole lets it ride smoothly over dense satin stitching. It’s also good for attaching trims and ribbon and for appliqué. It’s a standard foot on most 9 mm machines, along with the 1C, so customers usually want it as a replacement.
