Learn to Sew – Fabric Boxes – “Button Box”

These Fabric Boxes are versatile and fun to make. Boxes can be made in a variety of sizes with a variety of uses.
This is a BEGINNER level sewing class. We will be doing some simple quilting and working with batting.
Please be sure your machine is in working condition and you are familiar with the operation.
Items needed:

- Sewing Machine that does a straight stitch. Don’t have a machine? Don’t worry! When signing up for the class, please select “I Need to Borrow a Machine” and we will have one set up for you.
- Walking foot and general-purpose foot
- Quilting Guide Bar or Stitch Guide foot
- Main and coordinating fabrics: one fat quarter of each (18” x 18”)
- Coordinating button(s): 1-4 buttons
- Batting or Soft and Stable: 18″ x 18″
- Sharp rotary cutter, straight cutting edge, cutting mat
- Fabric markers
- Coordinating color sewing thread with 2 bobbins filled
- Sewing tools (scissors, clips or pins, stiletto or purple thang, seam ripper)
