{"id":4183,"date":"2025-01-26T11:05:39","date_gmt":"2025-01-26T18:05:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vacuumsrus.com\/learning\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=4183"},"modified":"2025-03-19T17:41:32","modified_gmt":"2025-03-19T23:41:32","slug":"learn-to-sew-nantucket-mini-charm-bag","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.vacuumsrus.com\/learning\/event\/learn-to-sew-nantucket-mini-charm-bag\/","title":{"rendered":"Learn to Sew \u2013 Nantucket Mini-Charm Bag &#8211; cancelled &#8211; will reschedule soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Learn how to make an easy patchwork zipper bag using the Ten Sisters Grid panel.\u00a0 In this class you will make this adorable zipper bag and go home with some new patchwork and sewing skills, plus an adorable zipper bag!\u00a0 The class includes the pattern and a kit of all the materials you will need.\u00a0 There will be an assortment of fabrics and colors to choose from but IF you would like to bring your own fabrics, you will need to bring the following:<br \/>\n1 Mini Charm Pack (42 \u2013 2 \u00bd\u201d squares), 1 fat quarter for lining and tabs, 11\u201d or 14\u201d nylon zipper \u2013 all other items needed (pattern, batting, grid, D-ring) will be in the kit provided in the class.<\/p>\n<p>This is a BEGINNER level sewing class, so do not worry if you are just starting.\u00a0 If you are a seasoned sewist, you\u2019ll have fun and maybe learn a few new tricks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Items needed:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sewing Machine that is in working order (don\u2019t forget your power cord!). <em>Don\u2019t have a machine? Don\u2019t worry! When signing up for the class, please select \u201cI Need to Borrow a Machine\u201d and we will have one set up for you &#8211; <\/em><\/li>\n<li>Quarter inch foot (or general purpose foot), zipper foot and walking foot (this will help with quilting but is not necessary)<\/li>\n<li>Neutral color (white, beige, gray) sewing thread and 2 bobbins filled<\/li>\n<li>Sewing tools (scissors, clips or pins, stiletto or purple thang, seam ripper)<\/li>\n<li>Washable glue stick \u2013 we will have a few to use, but if you have one, please bring it<\/li>\n<li>Marking pen or pencil, small ruler<\/li>\n<li>Mini iron and wool pressing mat (if you have one!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Feel free to email events@vacuumsrus.com with any
